Intentionally attacking an embassy is totally against international law, even if Iran did it in 1979.

Who really cares about “international law”? Did you ever go to the ballot box to decide if we should agree to these law?
Oh, and what about the Iranians bombing the Israeli embassy in Argentina in 1992 killing 29? Was that okay?

My understanding is that they didn’t attack the embassy.
They got a building next to it.
