I liked an episode of NCIS a few years ago starring Christopher Lloyd as a USS Arizona survivor. I loved it.

I don't know how true this is, but in it they said that Arizona survivors can choose to be buried in the wreckage.

That is correct. Every year they have a diver or divers go down and place containers of ashes within the ship. The end of an era.
