Intel will automate everything. I did contract work for an aircraft manufacturer. They kept an entire division to employ AA hires that had zero influence with the engineering department or manufacturing. But of course all the media featured the wonderful diversity of that “department.” Everyone knew the game but it was a game they had to play to keep the government contracts coming.
Intel, TMSC, Samsung, Micron, Wolfspeed and TI spent the last two years hiring anyone with chip experience and a pulse and still have openings all over the job boards. Those DIE employees are going to make their way into positions where they cause grand Fubars, count on it.
