learned two important lifelong lessons long long ago...don’t keep the rent paid and you don’t have a place to live AND just because YOU are having problems with your life doesn’t make them MY problems. unless, of course, you’re renting from me. but in that case it’s still not my problem.
i took out a mortgage to buy my first house and was handed a thick sheaf of papers ... the title insurance agent succinctly summed up the whole set for me: “You don’t pay, you don’t stay”. that was good enough for me ...
