They are making men illegal. The former Spanish football chief Luis Rubiales faces a prison sentence of 30 months if convicted of charges of sexual assault and coercion. Rubiales grabbed and kissed footballer Jenni Hermoso at the Women's World Cup medal ceremony in August last year. He says it was consensual. She says it wasn't.
But that's not the point. The point is that an area of life which has always been governed by manners, custom and judgement has now fallen under the grey, chilly shadow of criminal law.
I confess I have not been all that given to grabbing and kissing women at awards ceremonies or anywhere else. And I readily agree that many women do not want to be on the receiving end of such moist gestures, especially enforced by the unwanted grip of strong hands.
Those who try this on have often been swiftly punished with a sharp slap around the chops or worse...
Then there is the glass of wine, preferably red...
But prison? The modern world is like one of those science-fiction movies where we are introduced to a...
The State is increasingly reluctant to intervene when we assault or rob each other, cannot be bothered to restrain the misery known as 'anti-social behavior' and has almost entirely given up on drug abuse. My guess is that homicide will be the next crime to be gradually decriminalized...
But how long before an allegedly unwanted kiss becomes a prison matter in this country as it now is in Spain? Not all that long, I'd guess. These changes spread with amazing speed because they are driven by one vast force.
This force is the desire of the modern state to supplant and abolish its chief rival, the strong married family, generally headed by a father and husband...

In a bygone "Christian Era" police handed out fines to men who said inappropriate things to women in public places like parks.
I'm not Putin you on about this but yeah is this designed to set the world up for Communist China to run over the corpse of our civilization?
If this is what the world is coming to Xi may be a liberator.
They are making Western men illegal. Muslim men can rape at will.
It was an incredibly stupid move because apparently the relationship was entirely professional.
But how often do people ask permission before a kiss? Do you now go to prison if you misjudge the moment?
If it was a gay kiss, it would have been applauded and posted everywhere.
The whole world must wait now for the fairer sex to be the birds and bees aggressor and make the “first move”. The male receiver can either accept the move, or reject it. Unlike Jenni Hermoso though, he won’t be seeking satisfaction from the courts or the police if the “act” wasn’t expected or invited. Or if, upon reflection, he decides he never wanted it to happen in the first place.
NFN but Don Rickles, in two of the most hilarious acts in TV talk show history, violently and unwantedly did this to Frank Sinatra twice in close comedic succession.
Yeah—Old Blue Eyes could have objected, or claimed this was assault and splattery.
Instead, he just let Rickles and his outrageous acts slide. Just as did that nurse in Times Square in August 1945. And
time and society simply marched on.
No, Xi will not be a liberator.
In situations like this, it’s just a dynamic physical manifestation of utter jubilation. Where’s the criminal intent?
Thinking back now (see other comment), Don Rickles had to practically put Sinatra in a headlock to keep him still enough to plant and maintain the second kiss. Mens Rea surely obtained in that instance!
.
One night, Sinatra walked down the aisle toward a seat in the audience as Rickles was doing his act on stage. Rickles noticed and said, "Oh, Frank, nice of you to join us." The audience turned to look, and Rickles continued, "Frank, go ahead and make yourself at home. Punch someone." Sinatra erupted in laughter.
On another occasion, Rickles had asked Sinatra to stop at his table in a restaurant and say hello so he could introduce Sinatra to impress his dinner date. When Frank did so, Rickles brushed him off, saying, "Frank, beat it. Can't you see I'm with someone."
He should have kissed a man he would be applauded and idolized
That’s about the size of it. I know it sucks, but that’s reality.
filthy skank ...
I had not heard about this thing with him.
That aside, I do not understand the fascination that women (or men either) have with doing that to their bodies.
It certainly does not enhance the attractiveness of a female to me (guess I’m old-fashioned).
she’s a skank because she has tattoos? Or because she did not want a kiss?
the tattoos tell her story ...
Doesn’t matter. She was assaulted tattoos or not.
Along with illegals and serial rapists who are released after booking in the name of *justice reform*.
And other repellant truths of our time...
This distortion of our civilization is overdue for a swing of the pendulum. The sleeping giant must waken and revolt.
Yikes! There must have been no one else around to grab.
