This is great, we talked about this yesterday.....

Jeff Clark
@JeffClarkUS

Thanks to @willscharf for explaining in simple terms on CNN that President Trump’s desire to have the Justice Department directed to do more investigations of the election and consider replacing those who would not do so falls into the heartland of presidential power. And thus these matters were in core official act territory.

As Will explains, all of this is “at the absolute heart of the President’s powers under Article II of the U.S. Constitution.” Bravo.

Of course, Kaitlin Collins, still drunk on the Left’s narrative, tries to get Will to say something against me. He effortlessly brushes her back, noting that the charged official acts and ostensible private acts Smith tries to blend together are claimed to be part of an alleged unified “scheme.” But this means that if the official acts are stripped out, the indictment collapses and will have to be dismissed.

APRIL HARVARD CAPS / HARRIS POLL: TRUMP LEADS BIDEN BY 4 POINTS AS IMMIGRATION AND INFLATION REMAIN TOP CONCERNS

ELECTION FUNDAMENTALS SEE LITTLE CHANGE BUT TRUMP LEAD WIDENS

Immigration and inflation continue to be voters’ top concerns, tied at 35% each this month.
55% of voters believe Trump has committed crimes for which he should be convicted, but 55% say separately that they approve of the job he did as president.
44% job approval for Biden shows 11-point deficit in job approval compared to Trump at 55%.
