From what I heard it wasn’t legal and See-BS had to give them back but not after the pawed through all her stuff and found out what ever info they were looking for.
And you can be sure they shared it with TPTB who would want to know her sources.

JMHO, "journalism" has been committing suicide by a thousand paper cuts ever since the early 60's.
I'm not real sure that my Dad would have put that date in the late 30's, but most of his advice to me was not to trust the [BLEEP]s under any circumstances.
All I've done for years is take whatever the media says as the direct opposite of my moves.
Tell me to take a shot? Don't take the damn thing. Wear a mask? Fuggetaboutit. Trust somebody? Dude just got on the Permanent S*** List.
Could be luck or good genes kept me alive so long. Maybe my bad attitude about TPTB has something to do with that as well.
