Lots so young kids got their first job experience working at McDonalds. The entry level wages were low so turn over was rapid. Upper level jobs actually were well paying. That meant rapid advancement Growing up, the people working in fast food were largely high school or college age kids with their first jobs, often to work their way through school. Saw the change in California with all the illegal immigrants so you had people in their 30s to 50s working as a career.
HS workers now unable to get that start up job.
