The liquid assets in Russia's national wealth fund fell 44% from January 2022 to December 2023.
Total holdings in the fund tumbled 12% over the same period amid the war in Ukraine, per Bloomberg.
Liquid assets in the fund could last just another year or two if Russia's oil export price falls below $50 a barrel, per Bloomberg Economics.

2 trillion, make over 3 trillion, we are burning thru 1 trillion every 100 days, it could easily be 3.5 trillion by the end of the year, all this with a supposedly growing economy with full employment.
If government spending were to slow down and the true numbers were shown, we could be in a near depression in short order.
Many thanks.

Well evidently! War is profitable right? WW2 made America IMMENSELY rich, you remember that?
If America start spending on Ukraine the amount of money Russia is spending on Ukraine, then America’s economy will boom like never seen since WW2! As you just said, it works for Russia, so why wouldn’t it work for America?
But a dozen lefty Hanoi-Jane Republicans in Congress are sill blocking the investments for our industries. They don’t want to make US military great again.
Russia launched this war to save its economy.
America will benefit the exact same way if its invests for its war-readiness, as its industry will adapt to this new war-situation. Economically speaking, the American worker will be the big winner.
America is about to get rich again, as soon as we decide to truly invest for our military - also due to the Ukraine war, nut not only... I know, it sounds insensitive, but it’s true. History proves this.
But Biden’s is way too weak. We need a president that invests at least 5 times more on Ukraine (thus directly on America’s own industries) in order to make our economy spectacularly expand.
Again, of all the aid America has sent to Ukraine, 90% of that money has been injected directly into Americas industries. Countless of American States are already benefitting.
Trump will make our industries great again, with true anti-russia policies (just like he did when he was president 2017-2021), and a tripling down on our military production and innovation.
America’s economy (and preparedness for war, just in case) deserves it.
If you want peace, prepare for war.
While our country spends trillions it doesn’t really have
So, you want us to prolong a war that will result in tens of thousands more dying just to stimulate our economy?
Thank you for admitting that. It's more proof of how moral depraved you and US warmongers are.
“Wonder who they learned that business model from.”
Actually their first recorded expedition into another country was in the 9th century. I think they’ve had plenty of time to perfect it.

“In reality though, 90% of the US aid supposedly sent to Ukraine.. STAYS in America.”
So we’re paying ourselves with money we don’t have. What a genius strategy!
Sounds like the US. Except at $34T debt and something like $250T or more in our unfounded liabilities, Russia may be better off than us. Or they can be like us and just not care.

Oh, and here I thought it was adding to our MASSIVE DEFICIT SPENDING and our MASSIVE NATIONAL DEBT.
What’s that you say? Every single penny IS, IN FACT, BEING ADDED TO OUR DEFICIT SPENDING and IS BEING ADDED TO OUR MASSIVE NATIONAL DEBT. Damn, we ought not do that. That’s so stupid and destructive to our nation and the AMERICAN PEOPLE.
What’s that you say, Frenchy? YOU DON’T GIVE A RAT’S ASS HOW BADLY AMERICA AND ITS PEOPLE ARE DAMAGED. Figures,
Dunno where they come up with this garbage. Russia is doing fine. The Euros, not so much. And Ukraine is hosed.

Well say that to the warmongering-in-chief-leader-Putin.
He, is the one who started this war and is apparently is profiting from it by investing MASSIVELY in his Russian Military Industrial Complex. Right?
You don’t denounce the fact that Russia is right now profiting from the war.
But you denounce that America could eventually benefit form the war as well in the future, in case it decides to invest in its own Military Industrial Complex...
How interesting.
Double standards on its highest possible level.
The war in Ukraine is on a far smaller scale than Russia fought on her own land in WWII, so can't be cutting through as much of their war profits and resources as the U.S. did in WWII. Small war, smaller war expenditures. If Russia actually stepped up this current war, and conducted all-out war on Ukraine, then they would be depleting their resources at a far quicker rate. They aren't. It's only common sense. When the U.S. has to send billions of dollars to Ukraine, to pay employee salaries, and government pensions, and Americans can't afford to pay their rent, mortgages, or even put food on the table, then I'd say that Russia is in a far better place economically, than even the U.S.
I don't really give a crap if those two countries blow themselves off the face of the map. There is no national interest in Ukraine for this country, and no U.S. troops should be involved whatsoever in Ukraine, and not even Israel. If Putin wants all of Europe, let Europe fight to keep what they got. It's not our battle. We saved their asses twice, and it cost us dearly in loss of lives. It's not our job to financially assist countries that have made bad decisions in the past. We've bailed out railroads, car manufacturers, etc., in our own country, and we've been wrong in doing so, because those same company's have never learned from their past mistakes, and they've been bailed out again. Why should we bail out foreign countries when there is no benefit in it to us, and breaks our own economy in doing so. But if you want peace, then get your ass over to Ukraine, and give it your all.
Joint Systems Manufacturing Center (Lima Army Tank Plant) in Lima, Ohio, Abrams tank production rate is 12+ per month. But the allocation of a certain model to Ukraine, is not clear online. The plant produces other models of armored vehicles.
IMHO, Ukraine will not have an opportunity to regain Crimea. And, a position of strength - to negotiate peace - was 1 year ago. Sec.'y Defense Austin was wrong to state that Ukraine had opportunities to recover its land that Ukraine lost to Russia.
Mostly true but I suspect that a significant portion is going into various politicians pockets.🤔

Those numbers you are using from October of 2023 are expected to be 37,000 by April and 60,000 by October of this year.
Yes, the problem is that Ukraine didn’t get the weaponry at the right timing. And it didn’t get all that was promised either from the West (even though it was budgeted and voted for). Ukraine is still receiving weapons right now from America, based on old previous US weapons aid, passed by Congress.
Well, Moscow didn't even exist in the 9th century. It grew up during the Mongols' 13th century reign by playing footsie with the Khans, and started expanding into its neighbours territory when the Golden Horde began to dissolve, about the end of the 14th. After knocking over the other cities in the forest zone, the first big conquest was the city of Kazan, on the Volga, which by then had been a sedentary population of mostly Turkic peoples (Tatars) for a hundred years or more. That was 1552. It is still about half Tatar, and Muslim.
How much Russian state assets were stolen or locked up in sanctions?
Don’t worry though. Biden and Trump will let him off the hook.
