Despite a week of tensions with Israel over its conduct of the Gaza War, Washington is reported to have authorised arms transfers to its ally worth billions of dollars.

These include more than 1,800 MK84 2,000lb (900kg) bombs and 500 MK82 500lb bombs, as well as 25 F35A fighter jets, The Washington Post and Reuters news agency have said.

The larger bombs have previously been linked to air strikes in Gaza causing mass casualties.

The Palestinian ministry of foreign affairs in Ramallah criticised the US for inconsistencies in its positions.

There was no strain. As stated, it’s kabuki theater.

These bombs aren’t necessarily for Gaza, Israel is moving towards taking on Hezbollah and Syria.

The Squad in Congress is pro-Hamas. I assume Kamala Harris is pro-Hamas. Young Democrats (under 40) are pro-Hamas. There is a shift going on in the Democratic Party. Joe Biden is probably the last of the old guard Democrats who's pro-Israel.

Jewish Democrats will have to make a decision after Biden Administration. There's no room for them in the Democratic Party after Joe Biden's presidency ends.

This is not playing well in Michigan and Minnesota for Biden. Nor are the radical left (20-30% of the Democratic base, particularly enthralled.

Back in 1968 the radicals were so angry with LBJ and Hubert Humphrey over the Vietnam war that many deserted the Democrats and supported Nixon who they loathed. Their reasoning was that Nixon would precipitate the violent “revolution” they so desperately desired. Suspect the same dynamic exists in 2024. The radical leftists just might desert Bide and support Trump hoping that a Trump Administration would be the rationale and motivation for constant “transforming” riots and violence especially in urban areas.

Yes the Dems are definitely moving in that direction. Once the boomer generation dies off there will likely be little support for Israel left. But Republicans themselves are also split on this issue, with America first Republicans and libertarians also not onboard with us getting mixed up with Israel’s issues to the extent we are today.

Israel has an economy that’s big enough to become independent to get what they need for defense. This is not the ‘70s anymore. Look at France. They refuse to depend on the Americans. Which is smart.

$14 billion
JDAMs a plenty
2 Carrier groups

Jews are 1.4% of the population, yet 60% of Biden’s Administration.

All this, but the clowns here pimp it as if Biden is Hitler.
He’s a half dead simpleton.

Half of the WH staff supports Israel.

Half supports Hamas.

Biden is the spectator who can’t figure out what they are talking about....

Yeah even some rightwing Israelis would prefer they develop their own arms industry so they could provide for themselves and not be constrained by the US. And they could more than make up for the financial aid from the US by exporting Israeli produced arms.

But I think all of this will be for naught if Netanyahu expands this to a regional war with Hezbollah and Iran, which would destroy Israel to such an extent that Israel itself will just fizzle out. All the Ashkenazi Jews with money and brains will exit leaving only the diehards with few options behind. Gonna be interesting to see what happens as Netanyahu seems determined to expand this to a regional war. I think he sees this as his last and best chance to take down Iran.

Jewish donations are said to be 50% of the total Democrat haul.

https://www.jpost.com/us-elections/us-jews-contribute-half-of-all-donations-to-the-democratic-party-468774

To the extent money helps win elections, Democrats need Jewish support more than they need the 1% of the population that is Muslim. Also, Jews vote religiously, and still outnumber the Muslim population 2 to 1.

They never mention that Biden has received more money from AIPAC than any other politician. Second in place for AIPAC money is Bill Clinton.
