I know a guy who is quite knowledgeable about the port of Baltimore. He told me that a professional ship’s pilot always comes on board a large vessel as it nears the port. These pilots are very respected.

The pilot takes over, and guides the ship to its berth. So it would be interesting to know who the pilot was. Or maybe for some inexcusable reason there was no pilot.

I read some where in the MSM that there were two pilots on board. It appeared that this was not in question. The lack of discussion suggests that these may have been DEI pilots and they may be covering this up.

The pilot is credited for saving people lives. He had the presence of mind to call and have the bridge closed to traffic, 90 seconds before the ship hit the bridge.
