And, when Trump loses (and takes the party down with him) I suspect that the Trump BFFs will somehow not understand just why and how Trump (the most polarizing anti-diplomat and porn star pay-off-er in our party's history) handed the nation to the Dems.
I'll vote for whomever wins the GOP nom. It appears to be Trump, no matter. I'll vote early, and encourage all who I can to join me. That said, I know (and am related) to life long GOPers who hate Trump enough to not vote for him, and accordingly, will have much less reason to go to the polling place.
Even if Trump wins, he will be around for only 4 years and the battle for country will continue and regardless of what Trump does if he becomes POTUS it will not completely reverse the course of the country.
The battle will continue in 2028 which is why trashing an effective conservative governor in a major state makes no sense and is politically insane.
It’s a cult of personality that has turned off a lot of Republicans who should be natural allies of Trump.
