It was the Ukrainian Parliament who voted to remove President Viktor Yanukovych after he ran away and abandoned his post (subsequent to having almost 100 protestors killed). Early elections were then scheduled on the grounds that he had withdrawn from his constitutional duties. He was just a Kremlin puppet who showed his true colours to his countrymen.

Or they could have just voted for the next pro-Russian shill Presidential candidate, or better still, gone to live in Russia if they love it so much, rather than starting a civil war at the behest of the Kremlin. And no they didn’t have any legal right to secede from Ukraine.

After they started a civil war because they didn’t like seeing the back of Russia’s puppet President. They were at liberty to go and live in Russia if they love it so much and hate Ukrainian nationalism (even inside Ukraine), rather than giving Russia an excuse to invade after they conspired with it to start a civil war.
The only reason most of their ancestors went there in the first place was because Stalin killed millions of innocent Ukrainian civilians in the Holodomor (man-made famine) and the Nazis wiped out millions more and they needed more Russians to take their places.

This is an illegal we fomented against the wishes of those in Crimea and eastern Ukraine, who supported Yanukovych. Those regions that were disenfranchised had and have every right to their independence or to join the Russian Federation AND DID. And, there isn't a damn thing that will change that.
Whether you like or don't like, start learning to live with it.
And, before we waste any penny of taxpayer dollars on this debacle, we can drag you and your ilk through the streets by your testicles since you like revolutions so much.
