Just a theory: knowing his hatred for the Deep State and their alleged murders of his father and his uncle, perhaps he figured his best way of getting back at them was to help elect Trump, so he’s positioning himself to take as many votes as possible from Biden as he can.
It will be interesting to see how he campaigns, and more importantly, *where* he campaigns.
Ever since RFK, Jr appeared as a candidate, I thought there was something just a little odd. He didn't sound like a traditional Democrat some of the time, but you just knew, as a Kennedy, there had to be some far left wing stuff. And he has never been too critical of Trump, which again, sent up some red flags.
Your theory makes as much sense as any, since he really does seem to have a grudge against the current Democrat Party, though not necessarily against party philosophy.
