Now watch, the harbor pilot was a diversity hire who panicked and did everything possible to do the wrong thing.
So, it was terrorism.
Well, we’ve learned that to take out a bridge, you don’t need Navy Seals...
apparantly the entire crew of the ship were Indian/South Asian
Heard that too.
Haven’t heard anything about the harbor pilot yet.
What gets me is the course change directly into the bridge support. Was there wind or current moving the boat to starboard? That was one in I don’t know the odds hit.
Was United Airlines doing the ship’s propulsion maintenance?
Strange statement to be giving at this time.
You can bet terrorism or not, terrorists now have a way to shut down US ports
Sometimes an accident is just an accident...and a cigar is a cigar.............
Not unusual. I've been aboard ships where it is an all Philippine crew save for the captain
Alcohol or other substances may have played a role. Hope whoever was piloting the ship was administered a drug test.
there is no indication yet that this was terrorism.
There is no indication that this was not terrorism.
fortuantely we have most capable and diverse transportation secretary in the entire world.
I am pretty sure that this bridge will be up and running on an expedited schedule before 2050
If it were terrorism, they would have done it during rush hour.
I guess they need to rule out the white supremacy angle first.
The video clearly shows that the ship lost power at least twice in the two or three minutes before it hit the bridge. There is strong current in the river and it couldn’t maintain its course. Sometimes it really is a confluence of bad things outside the control of humans, or at least with no malintent.
That was quick.
Now back the their long investigations of moms addressing school boards, grannys around the Capitol building, Christians...etc.
“What gets me is the course change directly into the bridge support.”
From what I have heard so far is the ship lost power at 8 knots and when power was restored they went full reverse and that caused them to lose rudder response. The ship then swerved towards the bridge and then dropped anchor in a futile effort to stop the massive ship.
It would not surprise me to find out that the anchor was torn out of the ship by this action.
Time will tell but they will never tell you up front even if the suspicion is high. The DOD and Intel communities will investigate this and deeply too.
