The angle of the anchor line / cable would indicate the anchor was dropped before the ship hit the pier. How long B4, no one has reported.

The angle of the anchor line / cable would indicate the anchor was dropped before the ship hit the pier. How long B4, no one has reported.

Found a live shot that zoomed in, you are correct, slight angle towards aft. By the look of the damage to the deck and bow I do not think anyone would be able to traverse that wreckage to release the anchor after impact.
