Correction to my post: e = 1/2(m)(v^2).
A calculation of impact force might be even more useful, but I am unsure what the effective “distance of impact” should really be. The numbers are huge regardless.

Actually the kinetic energy is 1/2 * mv^2.
But the momentum is mv. The force would be the difference from that to 0 mv. That is a huge amount.
