A President Trump would have a new bridge there in 2-3 years. Done at warp speed. He would do this for the can-do bragging rights and more.

In Democrat controlled Maryland forget about a quick rebuild. There are already politicians and lobbyists right now scheming how they can get their cut when the Key Bridge is reconstructed. You can bet there will be requirements on the percentage of minority owned firms to participate in the rebuild.
The fed will use it as an example as to why we need our personal cars taken away from us. No cars, no travel, no need for a new bridge...
