A report said workers were on the bridge, and the video shows numerous vehicles with flashing lights to the right of the ship.
It is bad enough to work on a road at night. I can’t imagine the disorientation when the road starts to give way. And one second later the panic realizing that whatever happened is really bad. And two seconds later in the water with steel girders landing on top of you.
Those vehicles on the right were what I saw. The way they flipped off the bridge is horrifying. The thoughts that must have been going through the people’s minds ...
Listening to the scanner and they just said the workers were pouring concrete. They keep talking about searches being negative and I assume they’re hoping to find workers who were standing on the bridge swimming in the water. With that kind of collapse, I doubt any survived.
A terrible thing to happen.
