The GOP has never really wanted to 'rule' in D.C. Rush used to point this out as well as myself {I worked in network news for some years}.
Sen Murkowski of Alaska is threatening to 'not be a Republican' if Donald Trump becomes POTUS. caturd and I both posted that Murkowski is NOT a Republican! Here is my X post from a few minutes ago about Murkowski.
The GOP in Congress is thoroughly penetrated by enemies willing to keep the party weak - like Rep Mike Gallagher of Wisc just announcing he will quit the House in April - AFTER a special election could replace him; his decision puts the GOP majority in the House in great peril.
Go study the story of the Whig Party and how the Republican Party replaced them in 1860. Now we need the MAGA Party {whatever} and Donald Trump to clean out the nest of RINOs like Murkowski and make the GOP the stalwart party it started out to be.
