“The Republicans” won’t remove the Speaker. But how many votes can we lose now — one or two? All it takes is a couple of idiots voting with the Democrats to do the job. Virtually all of “the Republicans” will stand firm, but a couple of idiots who are willing to make Hakeem Jeffries the next Speaker, thinking that this will make them look important, are all it takes.
The libertarians have practiced fratricide for decades. There are some clowns in the Republican caucus with the same ego problem.
The good thing is there are 3 vacant seats that will be filled with GOP reps. by May or June, when the special elections are over.
If Hakeem wants to be the next DEI speaker, let him have it. He would also be the shortest-tenured one in history when the majority flips back in a few weeks.
