The problem is the voters who elect district attorneys and judges

You expect too much from the voters.

A lot of voters can't think ahead, or they don't give a chit.

They're not smart enough to understand the consequences of their actions. They only see and hear the immediate promises, but can't see that, down the road, things can and will be different. So, a voter will vote in somebody who may take care of an issue that he cares about, but, there are many more issues down the road that may affect that voter in a detrimental way, but, he had no idea about what would happen.

Population of Oakland is over a quarter of a million. I always think of it as a 'gritty' city, but Money magazine thinks otherwise...

The “media” just totally suck and fail their own general fact checking concerns continuously.

At this point in my life, a million buck$ would not cause me to move to Calif., much less Oakland.

[I’d take a “move” to Calif. $Mil but would figure out a way to not become a income tax paying citizen/resident. The State is still an awesome physical property.]

Cars used to have personality. Today, they all look the same.

Hey, it’s Oak Town. At least they have an urban forest program.

Rio Linda is next to the new tech utopia that’s coming in. There’s a good railroad museum there.

Rush was talking about the Rio Linda of the ‘80s. The good old days. He worked in Sacramento 1984-88.

Are they checking to see if the “abondoned” cars were stolen before being left on the city’s streets????

Oakland, California is struggling to deal with a deluge of abandoned vehicles across the city.

Oakland could solve two problems with one solution. Arrange the abandoned vehicles on public space, and move homeless people into them. Let graffiti artists decorate them instead of vandalizing other property.
