If a small business owner has six figures in the bank it does not mean that money is not essential to pay bills or run operations.
Cash on hand is simply that. Most wealthy people, even more wealthy than Trump, do not keep that much cash on hand. And there is a reason to do so. It is done with a purpose. It’s not just in case I get the urge to run out and buy something worth half a billion dollars. It’s not MAD money.
So, if this cash on hand has designated purposes and obligations, those purposes and obligations will not be met if the money gets handed over as a bond while this fiasco plays out in court.
