While I fully understand your opposition to abortion, I don't think it's a good idea to throw the baby out with the bath water. The 5th amendment clearly demonstrates that the folks who wrote and ratified the constitution understood that it was none of the government's business what we do in our daily lives. As human beings, we definitely have a right to privacy.
The Federalists argued against the inclusion of the 1st 10 amendments to the constitution, arguing among other things that having a list of specified rights would mean that other natural rights retained by the people would be given short shrift. In that, they were obviously correct, which is the reason for the 9th and 10th amendments.
On the other hand, we'd have ended up like Canunkistan without that short list of restrictions upon government, with no right to speak or own firearms without them. I'm glad the anti-federalists won the day on that particular issue.
The core of Roe was the Right to Privacy that literally had not existed before in the courts. If we TRULY have it, and can TRULY make the case that it exists, then the TLA’s are completely unconstitutional.
