Sentenced to 4 months in the slammer for a misdemeanor scares me.

Too bad he didn’t rob a store or kill someone. He would have gotten less time.

Commies are a subset of the International Left, much as RINO’s are a subset of Republicans.

The Uniparty can be roughly defined as “Institutional Conservatives” seeking to preserve and advance the interests of the bureaucratic swamp in general and of their personal sinecures within. They are dedicated to maintaining the primacy of the mechanisms of Federal government rather than the American Revolution as codified in the Declaration and Constitution, or the law.

This is on that POS Roberts. He is the most unethical Chief Justice we have ever had. If something happens to Navarro in jail, it will be the fault of Roberts. The man is scum and has repeatedly broken his oath of office by not supporting the Constitution with his decisions. We will likely see another example of this when the Court gives its opinion in the Murthy vs Missouri.

“Sentenced to 4 months in the slammer”

I worry that he won’t serve the whole four months. Epstein...

Re: 26 - no, I think CJ Roberts got it correct.

Navarro was still obligated to appear before Congress. He could have (and should have) invoked his 5th Amendment rights.

He rolled the dice that just not showing up was okay.

I saw him on Flashpoint last Thursday. What a man of principle! He knows his fate, the injustice and says pray for him and he’ll be out and stronger.

He was required to produce some documents too, I think. He should have given those documents the Hillary treatment, I guess.

Ah yes, I see that.

I don't know what his options were for the documents. Congressional subpoena power is pretty broad. He could have turned over the documents and then asserted his 5th Amendment rights.

Your statement has nothing to do with the topic. Robert’s decision related to whether Navarro had to go to jail while his appeal was pending, not whether or not Navarro’s conviction on the “merits” of the case was correct. So Navarro will have already served his sentence even if the appeal overturns his conviction. That is 3rd world BS. In addition, many are not incarcerated while appealing especially something of this nature, yet Roberts being the Leftist POS he is allowed it because it is a Trump ally. You are welcome to your opinion, but in this case I don’t think you are correct, again, because you addressed the wrong aspect.

Navarro’s appeals raised no novel defense that I could see that might warrant his not beginning to serve his sentence. Congress is given broad authority to conduct investigations.
