I’m almost positive that the shift pattern is the same, not “mirror image”. To make it a reverse pattern would be some tricky engineering...
It is not the same to your senses/muscle memory. What is normally a pull to you and down or backward with your right hand in a left hand drive vehicle is push away from you and down or backward with your left hand in a right hand drive vehicle. That is backwards to me even though when viewed from above the pattern looks the same it is not to your senses and muscle memory.
