“you not expect the ethnic factor to be a hindrance”

Only back home where the war is.

In Merry Olde England, they know that getting someone who at least shares their genetics if not their religion is a win for all of them. Once they get some more in they can go back to blowing each other up. For now, they have a common enemy to wipe out...the English.

All that might have some credibility had Rishi Sunak won a General Election as party leader, when the entire UK electorate would have a say in the result. But he hasn't. His rise through the political ranks happened in the following stages, in NONE of which was a decision made by a body with dominant ethnic representation. Just tell me at which point in the following could a 'critical mass' of ethnics have influenced the decision?:

* Selection as potential Conservative candidate (Decision: Conservative Central Office)

* Selection as their candidate by the local conservative Association in Richmond (97% white British)

* Election as MP for Richmond (ditto)

* Appointment as junior Treasury Minister by PM Theresa May

* Appointment as Chancellor of the Exchequer by PM Boris Johnson

* Election as party leader by Conservative Members of Parliament (93% white British)

* Appointment as Prime Minister (automatic as leader of largest party in House of Commons)
