Of course. But it’s important to remember that Rishi Sunak was elected by a constituency where people of his background a likely a majority, not unlike Representative Ilhan Omar. It was his party in Parliament that elevated him to the PM office.

Right now the leadership of Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland are all of non Scottish, Welsh, English and Irish heritage. Isn’t that a bit odd?

It's hard to be further from the truth than that statement. Richmond is an ancient (and beautiful) market town at the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Its population is predominately white British, with a high proportion of retirees. Richmond (and North Yorkshire generally) is rural Conservative heartland. It's been a safe Conservative seat for over a century.
