Actual Trump quotation in which the “bloodbath” he refers to will happen to the domestic car industry from foreign competitors under more Bidenomics.
“We’re going to put a 100% tariff on every single car that comes across the line and you’re not going to be able to sell those cars if – I get elected,” Trump said at the Ohio rally Saturday. “Now if I don’t get elected it’s going to be a bloodbath for the whole, that’s going to be the least of it, it’s going to be a bloodbath for the country. That’ll be the least of it. But they’re not going to sell those cars.”
I appreciate Musk’s efforts to control damage with low information voters (and there are a LOT of them), but is it too much to ask to not have what amount to regular unforced political “errors” from our candidate? He must know these will be used to some effect against him (and all his supporters). Is he unable to help himself or is it his style and does not care about the fallout?
Auto industry seems to be doing well now that the supply chain is back.
Thanks.
