Not a very helpful video unless we are shown a comparison with what it was like in years past, e.g. in 2015 or 2016 etc. For all we know, those of us who have never been to this neighborhood, this may have always been a shithole part of NYC.
At one time Jackson Heights was a good middle class neighborhood. Most Everyone walked to shop on Roosevelt Ave., walked to the elevated subway. It was a safe place and a nice place to live.
Speaking from personal experience 40-50 years ago, it was not a shithole. It was a fairly safe area.
