And yet, the rental companies are dumping their EV’s. Not sure if I only read biased reporting, but serious issues with EV’s seem insurmountable.

They were renting them for about half the cost of normal cars — which, of course, is what attracted me to them. Undoubtedly another taxpayer-funded subsidy scheme to “condition” drivers. Nearly worked, in my case — the cars are fabulous (when everything works - and we never had a problem. And you wouldn’t believe my rental budget for last year).

They were probably making only a skinny profit on the rentals, and eventually some of the employees confided in me (because I was there so often, probably) that the repair costs are high. $1k for a windshield, for example.
