A new committee in the Legislature holds its first hearing to figure out how to make residents happier. Chairperson Anthony Rendon says he’s wanted to take on the topic since watching the documentary “Happy” 14 times in two days.

Californians can “be happy” by identifying as a Florida resident so they don’t have to pay high taxes. As long as identifying is the thing nowadays, why not join in?
The answer to this question should be obvious to them. Simply pass a law making it illegal to be unhappy, enforceable by police and interpreted by the DA. The usual fines, jail time, or possible mental evaluations will apply.
I am sensing a new state program administered by 5 billion a year department
I sense a crying need for a Ministry Of Happiness. Which will do for happiness what our current Ministry Of Truth does for the actual truth.
