Write a simple bill that stops the counting of invaders in EVs. See if it gets 60 votes in the senate.... They might claim to have such a bill, but if they did it would not have enough votes. Maybe Trump can do something if elected.

I know it's tradition around here to not read the article, but did you not even read the excerpt? Sen Hagerty did introduce an amendment to do that, and the Dems voted it down.

I understand that dems rejected a bill that sounds like it would have done what we want. I wasn't sure that bill was only for that purpose. Let's assume that it didn't include, for example, money for Mayorkas to spend on waving in invaders faster than ever. That was my concern. Sometimes they describe a bill without mentioning everything in it.

By law, the President has extraordinary immigration powers.

The President can seal USA borders to all non-Americans.

Or, reduce LEGAL immigration to zero, for his entire term.

Trump is not Open Borders, but he was never serious about reducing LEGAL immigration during his first term, and never serious about enforcing E-Verify.
