In other words it was a catchall for “maybe he did something that we can’t pin down but it had to do with sex” and labeled that as “abuse”, which in this day and age can mean anything the judge and the plaintiff’s lawyer want it to. The jury has to go with their definition.
Carrol is a relic of the Gonzo journalism era. Fictionalizing things is part of the game. Fabrications become reality in print, as long as they are underpinned by some actual situation. What she did was take it to the next level on the back of a vaguely worded statute that certainly has no Constitutional validity. And the morons of the jury ran with it, as no doubt Democrat party operative Judge Kaplan told them to.

Judge specifically told jury ( first): “sexual assault can be “an unwanted peck on the cheek.” If he can file in a jurisdiction where the trial is not over as soon as jury is selected, why shouldn’t Stephanopoulous and ABC/Disney be liable for billions? Probably because they know they can get away with saying anything if it goes before a D.C or NYC jury.
