$500 b over 10 years= 50 b/year; sounds impressive...
Unfortunately, too many people
will think it's impressive and the problem has been handled...but at $1 trillion in new debt every 100 days, $50 per year is of little difference. And the increased taxes will damage the economy, so you really get nothing.
The only way to deal with the deficit is to inflate it away...but that will give us $20 for a loaf of bread - on sale. Or worse...
