It seems quite strange when those in power are angry.
“We’re mad as hell and not going to take it any longer.”
So, mad about what, that you get to act as president after stealing an election? You get 10% kickbacks on large contracts your policies require? You can break every law with no consequences? Thousands of Ukrainians and Russians are dying in a war you basically forced upon them?
SIR, IT IS US — we the people — who should be angry, not you. You are not angry, you are demented. And so are those who crowd around you, like flies on a garbage heap.
LYING SIGNS AND WONDERS. All that was missing was a declaration of divinity. But to claim the moral high ground after so many crimes and mistakes — that is equivalent to blasphemy because it says quite openly, evil is good. You have disgraced your high office and the place of your bald-faced lies.
BALD FACED LIES. The American people deserve the truth. And the truth is, we are governed by enemies, who work for the enrichment of special interests and foreign actors, and take bribes to do their bidding. It is treason. We long for the day when this is openly declared by a restored justice system, and the consequences of your actions fall upon your heads, all of you. Be gone. Show your faces no longer in the public square, and reflect on what you have done to the nation which once proudly said, In God we trust, and will say it again, when we are rid of you.

there’s yer rebuttal !! (I have to think a speech like that would have been made almost without effort in the glory days, not to disparage the rebuttal that was offered, it all depends on whose opinions it changes, I suppose).
