Well, EVs are a lot.heavier. IDK how much the extra mass effects tire and brake wear. But it would necessarily have some effect

They are 20%-30% heavier, and probably wear through tires (creating rubber dust) about 20%-30% faster. As for braking, EV’s have regenerative braking, and I suspect that offsets any brake wear due to weight. They might even create less brake dust. But the article is ridiculous, comparing EV tire and brake wear (apples) to ICE combustion exhaust (oranges).
