To make a point which should have been obvious. The level of hate Trump has been subjected to, as a candidate and president, has *never* been seen in America.

They have it wrong as-usual. Haley = George W. Bush. Trump is more like Reagan, I.E., “peace through strength”, etc.

Reagan would be appalled by the UniParty.

He was almost cashiered by them in ‘86 ovver the contrived Contras- Noreiga scandal which blew up on the UniParty who then tried to dump it his lap

They certainly did. So did most of the network news. The sleazy Sam Donaldson was particularly nasty and hoped he wouldn't survive the assassination attempt.

Reagan was all about draining the swamp. He just went about it a little more cautiously than DJT.

Haley is most like Mitt Romney … except a little dumber.

I disagree. She's a LOT dumber. Romney managed to fool the voters in Massachusetts and Utah once each. Those states are polar opposites on the political spectrum.

But I will give them near equal grades in the "douche" contest.

"Ultimately, Haley’s campaign mostly served a somewhat different but valuable purpose: showing how much of today’s Republican Party is defined by Trump and has little use for traditional conservatism.

Haley’s campaign gave us a pretty direct test that has eluded us previously: what would happen if voters were faced with a one-on-one choice between Trump and the GOP of yesteryear.

Haley exuded the Reagan and George W. Bush eras. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more prototypical standard-bearer: conservative but pragmatic, fiscally conscious, hawkish on issues like Russia and Ukraine, and uninterested in the right wing’s almost-singular focus on provocation."

First of all, this juvenile journolist piece of trash was born a month before Reagan took office. What he knows about Magnus is what he was leaving in his goddamn diaper, ie, he doesn't know shit.

Secondly, Reagan broke Regan's shoes when asked about abortion, when Regan was aboard a campaign plane he told Reagan, 'well, you have this public face about abortion, being pro-life, but we're going to maintain Roe', and Reagan lit into him, told him he regretted signing those California bills, and made it clear he was pro-life.

Regan -- who is one of the biggest douchebags in American history -- took it personally and colluded with Nancy from the get-go, making Reagan promise to nominate a woman, with Sandra Abort O'Connor already chosen, to dump/replacing Baker in '85 as CoS.

"Haley exuded the Reagan and George W. Bush eras."

I mean, that is absurd on its face. Bezos gonna send this jug-eared pissant back to Minnesota.

1. I was in DC when Reagan was running for POTUS and for his first 2 1/2 years in office, and I read the Compost quite a lot. They HATED Reagan with a passion - a passion only exceeded by the hatred that today’s media has for Trump. That they bring him up (as if they would like someone similar to him to be the Republican nominee) is amusing.

2. Reagan’s substantive position on most issues was pretty much the same as Trump’s positions are. Their styles and personalities were/are obviously very different, but both were/are supreme patriots, and they wanted/want the US to be prosperous and strong, with government assuming the smallest roll possible in society. Yet, the Compost seems to think that Reagan wouldn’t be saying many of the same things today. Again, this is quite amusing. They must be counting on the total ignorance of anyone reading their birdcage liner.

If she can’t decide whether to endorse Trump over Biden, her endorsement isn’t worth a damn.

Trump is Reagan unexpressed.

We ALL wanted unlimited economic nationalism when Reagan was running, but it was very much believed that our revolution -- and that's what it was -- would continue under Poopy. *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit* *spit*
