I dunno. The GOP has a problem with blacks in high positions. Think Cameron in Kentucky-red state. It goes back to Herman Cain running for the senate and that fella Oklahoma house speaker who couldn’t get past the pale-faced Lankford.
I wish him well but the GOP doesn’t do enough to help them off get off the plantation. Perhaps the Clarence Thomas wake scared our ‘leaders’.
The problem with KY is the KY GOP is run by uniparty jerks and suck ups. Hence, why we have Mitch the Chinese bitch.
I had written this guy off as a "no chance in hell" candidate but then I looked into it.
In 2020, Mark Ronbinson received more votes in North Carolina than Trump did and won a statewide election where the Democrat was elected for the governor's spot.
He definitely has a chance.
