I lived in Dinkytown for a year while I went to school at the UofM. It was about 40 years ago. There were a few homeless around back then but I don’t remember seeing any of the gangster types that are around now.
Yep. Lived in Dinkytown for 4-5 years in the ‘70s. Only blacks were a few U of M African students and some bused into University High School. A couple of mentally ill people around, but NO ONE thought it was dangerous there.
