Cobb County prosecutor alleges Fani Willis warned Bradley: 'They are coming after us'

A co-defendant in the 2020 Georgia election interference case has filed a notice of proposed testimony following Terrence Bradley's testimony in the disqualification hearing for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and her office.

The motion was filed on behalf of co-defendant David Shafer, proposing that Shafer would present the testimony of attorney Cindi Lee Yeager, a co-chief deputy district attorney for Cobb County.

According to the motion, Yeager reached out to Shafer's counsel after watching Bradley's testimony. Yeager informed the attorneys that she had "numerous" in-person and other conversations with Bradley from around August 2023 through January 2024, during which they discussed Willis and Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade.

Bradley reportedly informed Yeager that Willis and Wade initiated a romantic relationship after meeting at the 2019 Municipal Court Continuing Legal Education Conference, and this relationship continued from 2019 through 2020, overlapping with Willis's campaign for District Attorney.

...

Yeager claims Bradley told her that he had "personal knowledge" of their relationship, including details about the use of Robin Yeartie's apartment and other meetings before November 2021. Bradley also reportedly asserted that Wade prepared his own divorce complaint and instructed Bradley to sign and file them.

Yeager further contends that she was present in Bradley's office in September 2023 when he received a call from Willis. Allegedly, Yeager overheard Willis telling Bradley, "They are coming after us. You don't need to talk to them about anything about us." The call was reportedly related to an article about how much Wade and his partners had been paid.

The motion requests that if the Court reopens the hearing to receive additional evidence, as requested by both the state and former President Donald Trump, Shafer requests that the defense be allowed to subpoena Yeager and present her testimony.

Not being an attorney what is the issue with someone preparing their own divorce papers and asking someone else to sign and file them?

Isn’t it amazing how many Lawyers can LIE to the Court and get caught red handed LYING TO THE COURT and not a single one of them sanctioned and held in contempt, disbarred, charged with Perjury, JAILED...?

It’s more fuel for the fire, but as court testimony it’s hearsay.

Ruh Roh. This all sounds very accurate to be. Fani and Wade should be thrown off the case and disbarred and the entire DA’s office should be taken off the case. AND, it should not be allowed to move forward by Kemp.

Not being an attorney, let me take a stab at it.

In this case, it looks like Wade was going to use the ruse of attorney/client privilege to keep Bradley quiet about his knowledge of Wade's and Fanny's relationship.

Wade wasn't Bradley's client though so Wade created an artifice to make it looks as if he were...to prevent Bradley from testifying against him and Fani.

IOW, Wade is guilty of conspiring to conceal evidence/testimony behind attorney/client privilege.

The prosecutors (Fani's counsel) filed a motion to reopen the hearing to permit more evidence.

If the motion is granted, this testimony by Yeager would be introduced by the defense (counsel opposing Fani) and would cease to be "hearsay."

Ah yes, now I see it. He wanted the rubber stamp to be an establishment of privilege.

Dan Markel did his own divorce in Florida. He’s dead now.

BTW, on Saturday last, the judge dismissed the use of attorney-client privilege by Bradley (and Wade) so, when Bradley returned to court on Monday, he conveniently had amnesia about all that had been previously concealed by “privilege.”

Let me do the same. Judge Scott McAfee is up for election in 6 months. Blacks make up the majority in Fulton County, which is McAfee's Superior court jurisdiction. Regardless of the evidence showing Fani's criminality, black churches in Fulton county are swallowing the race card - embracing and defending Fani. IMHO - in the majority of the black community, race trumps (no pun intended) all things.

I believe Judge Scott McAfee understands that his election is on the line with his ruling. I wouldn't be surprise to see Fani come out of this with a hand slap.

Here's the fly in that ointment as I understand it.

Anyone who plans to run against McAfee must file by March 8th (next week). The Judge has indicated that he will deliver his decision about a week after that date (i.e., too late for anyone to file merely because of the opportunity created by the Judge's decision to disqualify Fani).

So he will probably run unopposed no matter how he rules.

Not nearly as sneaky as Fani and Wade.

Most of these judges run unopposed so I doubt McAfee is worried about re-election.

Not a lawyer but I thought “hearsay” is you repeating what someone told you that THEY had heard, not what you heard.
