They are talking about "age" rather than "competency" simply because of the apx 4 year age difference; so they can say "Trump is almost the same age". Trump is the same age Biden won when he ran his hide-in-the-basement campaign so he didn't have to show his incompetence, phyisical weakness and lack of stamina. Clearly one man is sharper than the other. One man can stand and talk for two hours, the other cannot even figure out where to stand unless you put a little x on the floor. Age is a factor but it's not determinative. Cognitive ability is.
