Two Toronto-area hospitals welcomed five leap day babies on Thursday, Feb. 29.
Trillium Health Partners, which operates Credit Valley Hospital where the babies were delivered, shared images of the bundles of joy who were born on the rare date.
“Feb. 29, also known as Leap Day, only comes around once every four years, which makes for a very unique birthdate,” the hospital network, which also runs Mississauga Hospital and the Queensway Health Centre, said in a post on social media.

Almost as bad as being born on Christmas.
Hey — it’s just a conspiracy theory that whites are being replaced. I visited Canada’s Wonderland amusement park in Toronto last year. The crowd looked a lot like these pictures. Most of the time, I felt like I was in India/Pakistan/Middle East. It was a shocking change from when I was in Toronto 20 years ago.
It’s a rapid transformation. People in Canada a noticing but Trudeau keeps the door open and it’s soon to be a hate crime to talk about it.
A character in Gilbert & Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance" was apprenticed to a pirate until his 21st birthday, but his birthday was February 29, so he would be an apprentice until he was 84. His nurse was hard of hearing--she was supposed to apprentice him to a pilot.
I was in Niagara Falls Canada last summer. It was absolutely packed. Felt like being in Karachi or Bangalore. Whites and Blacks both were a complete minority - maybe 2-3% of the crowd.
Those pictures don’t look like Canadians or are they Trudeau Canadians ,LOL
Canada? Who cares?
I was in Toronto a mere 4 years ago and the parks were not jam packed with homeless encampments like they are now.
A most unusual paradox.
If they ever get depressed about only having a birthday every four years the Canadian government will put them out of their misery.
Where be the crackers?
Destined to be euthanized in crazy Canada.
They don’t look very Canadian.
I post the Angela Lansbury/Kevin Cline version of Paradox every February 29.
