Austin attempts to explain away his incompetence.

they should thank him we got some time where that treasonous prick was not running things.
But they just HAVE to have black people in high positions no matter how incompetent and irresponsible they are. It makes them look like they care about minorities and that’s the real important thing here, they don’t seem to worry about America’s security or anything minor like that.
The press is covering this Lloyd Austin story big time. That doesn’t add up. They hate us - they hate our issues.
The MSM takes their marching orders from white liberal ‘elites’... What’s really going on?
The guy missed a few days - time to drop the issue before we discover the ‘elties’ are planning to put a knife in our backs.
Austin’s “not reporting in” is pretty serious, although at least he did “transfer authority”. (Seems like that should have been noticed and passed on by several people, too.) But to me, far more serious than Austin failing to communicate what was going on (ok, he was quite ill apparently, might not have been thinking clearly) is that apparently NOBODY ELSE IN THE WHITE HOUSE NOTICED HIS ABSENCE OR INQUIRED.
How did he transfer authority if the White House, Pentagon and his staff were not informed he was gone? How did he transfer the authority without telling the transferee?
Austin testified he transferred authority to Kathleen Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense;
Austin testified he transferred authority to Kathleen Hicks, Deputy Secretary of Defense;
In both instances? Immediately or hours or days later? I believe he said he contacted his staff the second trip but could not recall when. Do you have information when or if he contacted his staff during the December hospitalization? Not that it really matters, no level of incompetence would ever result in his dismissal.
If he had any pride he would have resigned after the Afghanistan retreat in disgrace.
I think his biggest problem is he’s too incompetent to understand what joke he is.
The authority was transferred prior to Austin's 1st surgery, in Dec.
Hicks would surely be responsible to make sure people in the chain of command would be aware of what was going on, and Austin would be responsible to have tactfully reminded her of that in doing the transfer (plus I'd think there'd be some automatic process kick in the 1st time she issued any directive or command.) -- They probably both deserve a reprimand at least.
In the 2nd instance he says his concern was getting to the hospital, and indeed that sort of problem can be mind-numbingly painful -- I'm kinda inclined to give him a pass on that, and a directive to institute automatic procedures to handle this sort of thing.
I still find the White House not even noticing Austin's absence more troubling.
Now as for you not even watching the vid you are posting...
