Yeah 14+ years on and counting is hardly swift justice. I assume they are waiting for every appeal to be exhausted etc etc. Civilian executions take decades too sadly.

I can accept someone who is against capital punishment for moral reasons, but as soon as someone says “The Death Penalty is not a deterrent to murder”, I shut them off.

IMO, the Death Penalty should be swift and public after a fair and speedy trial.

Waiting until nobody remembers who the victim, perpetrator or even the crime committed was 30 years after the fact is not going to deter anyone.
