Kaplan’s polls especially when he was in charge of Gravis polling were not reliable, he basically sold polls (ads many do) to Dems or GOP candidates to make their case.
The 3 most reliable polls that do large sample sizes are
TIPP, BIG DATA POLL and Atlas are the only three with 90-plus percent overall accuracy.
I especially like you bringing up Atlas. They’ve been doing well in many countries, not just the U.S. TIPP did well in 2020, but I wonder if this was because they shifted that year, because of COVID, to automated caller. Live caller polls tended to be biased that year, and are problematic in general. Big Data Poll, love the enthusiasm, was pretty close to the mark. I also like Cygnal. I agree with you regarding Kaplan, nee Gravis. I also think his testing of potential Vice President candidates was a misdirection. The real finding of his poll is a strong lead by Trump in Michigan. The Democrats are badly hurt by their pro-Palestine wing in that state.
