Mike Benz, a former State Department official, argues that over the decades since World War II the U.S. has developed a huge intelligence system to spy and spread propaganda and influence elections in foreign countries. In about 2016 the U.S. government converted these intelligence systems elections to spy and censor and manipulate elections right here in the U.S. (Clarice Feldman already reviewed here Tucker Carlson’s interview of Mike Benz published on February 16, 2024 on the question of our national security state.)
I will be referring to the interview transcript at Happyscribe.com.
The idea that the government is spying on us right here at home would be nothing but a conspiracy theory but for The Twitter Files. If nothing else, Matt Taibbi & Co. clearly showed that the intelligence community was directing traffic during the late COVID unpleasantness through direct communication with social media companies and the disinformation/misinformation/malinformation ideology of the nation’s Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency.
Benz told Tucker that the U.S. has been rigging foreign elections since we stopped the Italian Communist Party from winning the Italian elections of 1948 with a spot of ballot-box stuffing. Eventually we graduated to the “color revolutions” that changed governments in Yugoslavia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and the Arab Spring. Says Wikipedia:
[C]ritics have accused the United States of orchestrating these revolutions to expand its influence.
No, no, no. It was all about Democracy! Mike Benz:
So you had the systematic targeting by our State department, by our IC, by the Pentagon, of groups like Germany's AfD, the alternative for Deutschland there, and for groups in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.
Then came Brexit in June 2016, and within a month NATO changed its policy from tank warfare to information warfare. NATO?

True, except they were doing it way before 2016.
“True, except they were doing it way before 2016.”
We brought the NAZIs over and they infiltrated the CIA.
Because? You can understand the point of view of the global ruling class. Populist nationalism overthrows the whole post-WWII American/West European regime, the world that makes its pilgrimage every year, borne on the wings of private jets, up the Magic Mountain to hear prophecies from the Oracle of Klaus at the Temple of Davos about liberal democracy and the global order. The only thing missing is the Corinthian columns."
Key section.
Yes! They sure were/are.
Lies, lies, lies,lies,lies.......
You know why they keep doing it??
'Cause it works!
“It’s a Government of the Government, by the Government, for the Government and they don’t want your opinion, just your money.”
Spies NOT like us
But the bad news for them is it only “works” temporarily.
When they made the decision to establish their operation on lies, they guaranteed their own defeat.
When the Berlin wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed, the CIA and NSA should have been cut down by 90% and repurposed. The FBI now would be a competing agency in need of political purpose and domestic counterintelligence operations in order to have the best enemies for self promotion.
It’s been working for decades.
No, they only think it’s been working because their view is limited.
In a word obunghole!
As explained by Mike Benz in this interview
We brought over some Germans, mostly scientists, to help us defeat Communism in the space race.
Nazis did not "infiltrate" the CIA. And even if they had, they're long dead. Been dead for decades. So our current predicament has nothing to do with them.
The FBI's original purpose was to pursue criminals who crossed state lines. The automobile made it easier for bank robbers to rob in one state, then drive over a state line, leaving local police unable to pursue.
Hoover's G-Men had jurisdiction throughout the U.S., so they could purse Dillinger, Bonnie & Clyde, etc. from state to state.
“We brought the NAZIs over and they infiltrated the CIA.”
When, who??? Backup please.
Project Paperclip. It wasn’t just nazi rocket scientists. Look it up.
“the “color revolutions” that changed governments in Yugoslavia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan”
Apparently when formerly dictatorial states have a population that seeks to move out of the dictatorial pattern and into a democratic pattern, and that population seeks knowlegde and support from foreigners with experience as democracies, that constitutes undo foreign influence, while Kremlin efforts to keep those nations ruled in a like manner as Russia is not undo influence.

Had nothing to do with recruits to work for the CIA.
US and UK intelligence folks were part of identifying German’s with special technical skills, with the intent of keeping them in the west as opposed to them being drafted by or inticed to join the Soviets. What else would you have had the U.S. do at the time?
Were some members of the NAZI party? Some, yes, but keep in mind it was frequently a requirement under the NAZI regime if you wanted to keep your family fed, or just to keep alive and work.
You think the Soviets were doing nothing??
“The [initial] project was not initially targeted against the Soviet Union; rather the concern was that German scientists might emigrate and continue their research in countries that remained neutral during the war.[8] Much U.S. effort was focused on Saxony and Thuringia, which on July 1, 1945, became part of the Soviet occupation zone. Many German research facilities and personnel had been evacuated to these states before the end of the war, particularly from the Berlin area. The USSR then relocated more than 2,200 Nazi specialists and their families—more than 6,000 people—with Operation Osoaviakhim during one night on October 22, 1946.
And what did some Germans with high skills think of that:
“Von Braun and more than a thousand of his colleagues decided to surrender to Americans in 1945. One of the engineers later recalled their options: “We despise the French, we are mortally afraid of the Soviets, we do not believe the British can afford us. So that leaves the Americans.” On June 20, 1945, they moved from the east closer to the American forces, to avoid the advancing Soviet army.”
How did “populist” Americans become so downright anti-American??
I’m currently reading “Big Intel” by J. Michael Waller. It goes into great detail about how cultural marxists subverted all intel agencies over decades.
Operation Paperclip was a secret United States intelligence program in which more than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technicians were taken from the former Nazi Germany to the U.S. for government employment after the end of World War II in Europe, between 1945 and 1959. Wikipedia
Start date: July 20, 1945
End date: 1959
