That’s predictable as SC was always going to be Nikki’s best state.
The exit polls show 4% of SC voters were democrats and 21% were independents, but many of the independents could very well be democrats.

Nikki made history tonight.
She is the first person to ever lose a primary in her home state to someone outside her home state.
The only other person to lose a primary in their home state was Ronald Reagan defeated by fellow Californian in 1968.
While Democrats and Democratic leaning Independents kept the race closer than earlier polls anticipated it was nonetheless a humiliating blowout for Nikki.
