Anybody who's been close to the NRA over the past decade knows that LaPierre was as corrupt as they come, and that he filled the top of the organization with his cronies.

I hope this verdict, which seems entirely fair, will start the NRA on the road back, but from what I'm reading there will have to be a massive housecleaning.

Having a guy named LaPierre as your leader, regardless of his character or skills, is a questionable choice unless the organization is the National Quiche Foundation.
