Lara Trump, former President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law whom he endorsed as co-chair of the Republican National Committee, said Wednesday that she believes Republican voters are interested in the RNC funding Trump’s legal bills.
After speaking at the former president’s South Carolina campaign headquarters Wednesday evening, Lara Trump was asked by NBC News if she thinks the RNC paying for his legal bills is something that would be of interest to Republican voters.
“Absolutely. That’s why you’ve seen a GoFundMe get started,” she said in remarks to a gaggle of reporters, referring to a GoFundMe page set up by Trump’s supporters in response to his multiple legal battles. “That’s why people are furious right now and they see the attacks against him. They feel like it’s an attack, not just on Donald Trump, but on this country … So I think that is a big interest to people. Absolutely.” ....

And once again you ignore the fact that your boy grifted off the Florida taxpayer for his entire campaign - utilizing Florida Department of Law Enforcement funds for his frequent campaign visits out of state.

The word “suggests” can be used to thrust a meaning not intended by the speaker. Many of us would like to help Trump, but for one thing, I have doubts the RNC can, or wants to, do it.

Jimmy Patronis says Ron DeSantis ‘not fully informed’ about “taxpayer” funded Trump legal defense fund
“We are in a situation now where the Senator has withdrawn the bill and look, I think there was a problem where people just weren’t reading the legislation,” Patronis said on Newsmax Friday.
“These were not taxpayers’ dollars. The dollars that were being used were actually fees that were paid by candidates in qualifying. So we had a pretty elaborate formula there,” the CFO said.
The funds for the legal defense scheme come from fees paid by candidates for political office. The Department of Financial Services, which Patronis oversees, would have “the sole authority to determine if a person has been subject to political discrimination.”
That money would be replenished by voluntary donations made by residents when they renew their driver’s licenses. The “Defending Freedom Fighters Trust Fund” would be one of 22 options of nonprofit groups to donate to on the renewal form.
